Between epidemiological weeks 15 and 18, 5,629 new confirmed cases of chikungunya were recorded in Mauritius, with no deaths reported. Since the outbreak began on January 5, 2026, the total number of confirmed cases has reached 6,675, distributed between Mauritius (6,583 cases) and Rodrigues (92 cases). No deaths associated with the disease have been reported.
