A total of 12,928 suspected cases of chikungunya fever were reported during the season, including 2,819 confirmed and probable cases. The first cases with no travel history were identified in Salta, confirming local transmission. Thirty-four new cases were registered between epidemiological weeks 25 and 24. The Northwest Region of Argentina accounts for 96% of the cases (2,709), predominantly in Salta, Tucumán, and Jujuy. Outbreaks were reported in Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, and Buenos Aires, and cases were reported in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and Córdoba. The median age is 33 years, with the highest incidence in people aged 45 to 65. Fifty-five percent of the cases are women. Seven severe cases and two deaths were reported. The most common symptoms include fever, joint and muscle pain, headache, diarrhea, and vomiting.
