The Northwest region of Argentina (NOA) accounts for 96% of the country’s chikungunya fever cases, with a cumulative total of 2,547 reported cases, including both confirmed and suspected cases. A downward trend has been observed following the peak of infections in April. Salta leads with 1,329 cases, followed by Tucumán (661), Santiago del Estero (230), and Jujuy (197). The central region and the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) have significantly lower numbers. The majority of infections (2,393) are locally acquired, while 154 cases have a history of travel.
